My Christmas Contest Instructions

What’s good people? Merry Christmas! I want to give some of my fans a chance to win some of my favorite things. I have put together 35 Christmas prize packs with Skullcandy Headphones, Gatorade bottles and towels, my Zoom KD III signature shoes and NBA Jam games.

I am going to give one of the packs to the first 20 fans around the country to tweet me photos of themselves holding two thumbs up in front of any of these locations. Each location is limited to a maximum of 3 winners. When you tweet me your photos add the hashtag #KDChristmas and tell me which location you’re at. If you aren’t in one of these cities, no worries because I will have another contest for the final 15 packages.

Here are the hints for the locations. Good luck!

1. This is the home to my favorite NFL team.

2. A statue of the greatest NBA Player of all-time in front of the basketball arena in the Windy City.

3. I played all my home games here as a rookie in the NBA.

4. FEC…the place I played all my college home games.

5. Community Center I worked on my game at as a kid.

6. I just played here last night. Some call it the “Mecca of Basketball” or the “World’s Most Famous Arena”.

7. I played my first All-Star game in this football stadium. Not a fan of the “Cowgirls” that play there though lol.

8. I played my first NBA Playoff game at this stadium against a team in purple and gold.

9. Played here to decide the Big-12 regular season championship, but hurt my ankle in the first half.

10. One of the most famous houses in the world. President #44 lives there.

11. Monument to the King of Rock. My boy Rudy Gay plays in the same city.

12. Top of the steps the used in a famous boxing movie.

13. A Bridge they call Golden but is really colored red.

14. I’ve played a bunch of team USA Showcase games at this arena. Located in “Sin City”.

15. Bell that rang for Liberty.

16. Stadium where they are having the BCS Championship game this year.

17. Home ballpark to my favorite MLB team.

18. Place that works iron to make the best BBQ in my college town.

19. Some people in OKC call this place the Thunderdome.

20. Most famous sign in a city of stars.

21. The house that Larry Bird built. “The Big 3″, Rajon Rondo and my boy Nate Robinson play here.

22. Christmas tree in center Jay-Z named his record label after.

23. Footlocker House of Hoops near the most famous street basketball court in the world.

24. Scored my rookie career high here on the last day of my rookie season.

25. Scored 62 points at this place I hoop outside during the summers.

26. Famous Music museum in the city wherethe Cavs play.

27. Home to CP3 in the city where they say “Who dat?”

28. Arena where my favorite NBA player growing up played his college ball.

29. Famous Needle in city I played my rookie year.

30. They always tell you to “remember” this famous monument in the city Tim Duncan does his thing.

31. Famous haunted hotel in the OKC.

32. Played my first Big 12 game here and dropped 37 points. Near some rocky mountains

33. Played here on MLK day last season. Jeff Green won the game for us with a crazy dunk.

34. Played my first NBA road game here. Also near some rocky mountains.

35. Played a big 12 triple overtime game here.

Kevin Durant Christmas Pack Contest Legal Rules

No Purchase Required to Enter or Win.

1. Who is eligible?

This Sweepstakes is open only to followers of @KDThunderup on Twitter. Employees of NIKE USA, Inc., its parent company, NIKE, Inc., EA Sports, Skullcandy, Gatorade, their subsidiaries and affiliates, or of other companies associated with the promotion of the Sweepstakes, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible.

2. Who is sponsoring the Sweepstakes?

The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Kevin Durant Enterprises, c/o Goodwin Sports Management, 1114 Post Ave. Seattle, WA 98101 (the “Sponsor”). Sponsor reserves the right to modify or cancel this promotion at any time. In the event of cancellation, and at Sponsor’s sole discretion, Sponsor may substitute another promotion in its place.

3. How do I enter?

The Sweepstakes starts on or about 12 pm PST on December 23, 2010 and ends 12 AM PST on December 25, 2010 (the “Entry Period”). During the Entry Period, @KDThunderup will tweet a request and the first followers to tweet back and follow through with all instructions will win. There is a limit of one (1) entry per person. Subsequent entries will be void. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.

4. How will winners be selected?

On or about December 23, 2010, the 1st @KDThunderup follower to tweet the correct photo task in proper uniform, with proper action and proper location will win one of the thirty five (35) Christmas Kevin Durant prize packs. The potential winner will be notified by telephone or email (in Sponsor’s discretion) within 5 days of the contest’s end. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects, and by participating, entrant agrees to be bound by the Official Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions.

5. What can I win?

Thirty five (35) Winners will receive a package consisting of a pair of Nike Zoom KD III shoes, Gatorade branded bottles and towels, Skullcandy Headphones, a copy of NBA Jam approximate retail value: $250

Any prize details not specified above will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. The winner is responsible for taxes, if any, and any and all other costs and expenses not listed above.

If you live outside the US or Canada you are responsible for any taxes, custom duties and shipping in the event you win. We will only ship the prize to a US or Canadian address. Foreign winners must be able to retrieve the prize from a US address to be eligible to win.

6. What may a potential winner be required to do?

Except where prohibited, a potential winner may be required to complete and return an executed Declaration and Release and/or tax form W-9, if applicable, within five (5) days of being notified. If a potential winner declines to accept the prize, has violated any of these Official Rules, or fails to sign and return the required documents within the required time period, then an alternate entrant may be selected, at Sponsor’s discretion, in his/her place in a random drawing of remaining entries. If a potential winner is a minor (as determined by Sponsor), his/her parent or legal guardian will be required to sign the required documents on the potential winner’s behalf.

7. What other terms should I be aware of?

Unless prohibited by law, entrants agree to allow use of their name, voice, city/state of residence, photograph, and/or likeness for advertising and/or trade and/or any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter known without further compensation, permission or notification.

The Sweepstakes is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law. In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, its parent and related companies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.

8. How will disputes be handled?

Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the State of Washington. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Washington, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Washington or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Washington.

9. How can I find out who won?

To obtain the name of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Kevin Durant Twitter Contest, Attn. Goodwin Sports Management., 1114 Post Ave., Seattle, WA 98101. Requests must be received within four (4) weeks of the conclusion of the Entry Period.

Welcome to Kevin Durant

Kevin Wayne Durant (born September 29, 1988 in Washington, D.C.) is an American professional basketball player for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA.

A 6’9″ small forward, Durant was the consensus 2007 National College Player of the Year, in addition to being selected as the 2006—2007 Big 12 Player of the Year, amongst other awards. After his freshman season at the University of Texas,[8] Durant opted to enter the NBA Draft,[8] where he was selected second overall by the Seattle SuperSonics. There, he went on to claim the NBA Rookie of the Year Award after his debut season.

Durant signed an endorsement contract with Nike in 2007.
