Official Photos and Launch Info for the Nike Zoom KD IV ‘Weatherman’

What if Kevin Durant weren’t playing basketball? The star would have his radar on becoming a weatherman.

Launching December 10 in limited numbers at House of Hoops, the Nike Zoom KD IV Weatherman edition pays tribute to Kevin’s fascination with his second career choice as a weatherman. A bold green upper representing a green screen, thermo-mapping scans of Kevin’s actual footprint on the outsole, and bold weather inspired graphics wrapping the upper heel pay homage to Weatherman Durant. Tornado alley in Oklahoma is ground zero for KD.

The new Nike Zoom KD IV features performance benefits including the Adaptive Fit system, Hyperfuse construction and Zoom Air. As Nike Basketball’s first shoe featuring the Adaptive Fit system, this new model uses a synthetic strap that wraps up from the inside of the upper and integrates with the laces for superior support. This special energy colorway of the KD IV launches in limited availability December 10. The black/blue inline colorway launches December 3. The weather forecast calls for a strong chance of Thunder.

    Is there a way to purchase these online? I’m a female meteorologist and I know I’ll need a kids size but I really really want a pair. I think they’re the greatest :) I also think KD would have made a great weatherman.
