Man, THAT is an athlete. So far removed from the athletes of today who think themselves above everyone else. How often do you think you’d find Lebron playing a game of football with just anyone?

I agree with a previous comment…how likely is it that you would see someone such as Lebron playing flag football with some college kids out of the blue? Not likely. Durant and the rest of the OKC team are true to their word in giving back to the community and interacting with their fans on a daily basis unlike so many others.

Why not charge 5 bucks to watch you and LeBron play, and donate it all to charity (MS, for instance)?  Give your managers a nice PR bargaining chip at the table.  Challenge your other NBA cohorts to the same and the owners will have no choice.  Win-win?

In a time where it’s SO easy to be cynical of professional stars, it is truly awesome to read about Kevin Durant. While I’m a Heat fan and hope we can turn it around and win this thing, if we have to lose, I couldn’t think of a better T-E-A-M to lose to than one led by Kevin Durant. Total class act and I wish him success in all that he does. I hope to see him draped in Red, White, & Blue singing God Bless America at the Olympics
