What’s going on everyone?!?!

I know it’s been a long time since I last updated my blog, but now that the season is over and I’ve settled down after a week of just chilling, I’m ready to get it going again.

I’ve got a lot going on right now, from my current trip to China with my man James Harden to the Team USA training camp next month.

Since my last blog post was just before the playoffs, let’s start there.

I know it was a month ago, but just playing in the postseason was a lot of fun, man. Unfortunately we didn’t come out on the right end but it was still a lot of fun. It was a great opportunity to showcase our skills to the world. And it was a great opportunity to see where we were as a team. Of course we would have wanted to win but we did a good job of fighting and showing people who we are and hopefully it showed what we’re going to bring for these next couple of years.

On a personal level, I know I’ve just got to keep plugging away no matter what. I didn’t shoot the ball the way I wanted to against the Lakers but I kept fighting and kept finding ways to help my team win. Of course I wanted to shoot the ball better but sometimes that might not happen and I’ve just got to keep fighting and never give up and I was proud of how I did that.

As far as the rest of the playoffs go, I couldn’t help but watch. There’s been some good games, some surprises and some blowouts. A little bit of everything.

I hear a lot of talking heads giving their two-cents on the NBA Finals, but I think both the Lakers and Boston Celtics have been playing exceptionally well so it’s kind of an even matchup. Of course the Lakers have the home court advantage and they don’t want to have a repeat of what happened to them in ’08, but I’m sure Boston wants another championship just as bad, so this should be a series worth watching.

With us playing the Lakers I know what kind of team they are. Of course, it would be easier for me to pick them to win but I’ve also been watching Boston and they’ve been playing some tremendous defensive basketball. So we’ll see what happens because honestly, for me, I can’t go with one team. Both teams just do so many things well. I guess we’ll just have to watch the first couple of games and see how the series is going to go.

How about you guys? Who are you picking for the NBA Finals? What matchups are you interested in watching? Let me know in my comments section.

Boy, this will be tremendous basketball. I'm going with the Celtics' D and I hope Rondo is gonna be a bull, carrying his team throughout the finals. Celtics in 7.

I like the Celtics for this series. You never got the chance to play with Ray Allen or Rashard Lewis, right? I'm from Seattle, so I'm still incredibly angry that we don't have an NBA team…especially when we had the chance to have you and Westbrook, one of the hottest up-and-coming tandems in the NBA, represnting us. Nevertheless, I can't deny OKC some fantastic basketball, but I'm not going to take it lying down. I bought your Sonics jersey and I'll wear it proudly. :p

Hey Kevin, I'm a big fan of you and your team. I play basketball since i was a kid and players like you are a big inspiration for everyone… you inspire other kids, players…even coaches. Keep playing with heart and have fun and you will reach the top soon!
Lakers/Boston… i can't say who is gonna end up holding the trophy, but we are about to see some great games for sure.

    Lakers in 6-Here is why……….
They have the better big men in this match up. Although the Celtics did what they wanted to to Dwight Howard in some games-he dominated in others. But he isn't a traditional post move-hook-shot big men like Pau is. Pau plays a much different game than Dwight, and I think he will match up better against the “try-hard” Celtic bigs. Odom will also have to show up-no matter if they call his playing “lucky” or not. Finally, as great as Rondo has played, I don't think that the Celtics can pull it out Allen and Pierce look reborn, but Kobe remains the best player in the NBA-You'll be there soon-and he is the best player for the last 4 min of the game. I'd take you or Lebron for the first 44, but then sub in Kobe. he does what he has to do, and he does it when it matters.

KD my man, love and appreciate your modesty for other players and your honesty for the game. Truly a class act, don't worry my man, once Kobe retires, I definitely see you in the finals for years to come. Just keep working; remember that Kobe had to work to get where he is now.

Lakers in 6. It's gonna be tough.

Come play in LA when your done in Oak town. You've got a sweet game. I love you jump shot, I love your fire. You're just such a pure scorer. Gotta work on that man D and build up a lil more muscle and you'll be the best in the game. You're already top 5 easily. Anyway, you guys scare the hell out of me the next few years being a Laker fan. Oh yeah, don't let Phil get to you dude, he was complimenting you. Every player he disses is the one he's afraid of, so just shrug it off and don't just tell them it doesn't dignify a response next time hahah.

Take the players out of the equation and I'm not sure you'll find anyone who had a harder time watching the first round besides me. Just ask the people I watched it with. I have been a Lakers fan for a long time but I am also a Texas fan, so naturally I have been following you since you played college ball. I am a big fan of yours. It was very difficult to watch every game between L.A. and Oklahoma, not just in the playoffs but regular season also. Sorry about the loss Kevin. I can't wait to watch what the Thunder does in the future! Good luck!!
Oh and Lakers will win the series against Boston!
