My Trip to WWE Monday Night Raw

What’s going on everyone? I just wanted to give you the run down on my WWE experience. Me, a few teammates, friends and my brother went to see Monday Night Raw at the Ford Center the other day…I’ve practically been living at the Ford Center the last few days.

This was my first time to see WWE, although I used to watch it a lot when I was young. I was very intrigued by it. To get the opportunity to go watch it in person was a lot of fun. You could tell it’s changed a lot since a couple years back when I was younger.

It’s intense, man. It’s a rush. Me and the guys got into it so that made it even better.

Some of my favorite moments were seeing Triple H and Shawn Michaels, the D-generation X when I was young. That was fun to see. Most of the guys that were there when I was young are still there — Undertaker, Triple H, Brett Hart, The Big Show, Mark Henry, Vince McMahon. Everyone was still there. I wanna go to Wrestlemania now!

Obviously, it’s way different seeing it in person than on TV. First off, it’s loud. They’ve got a lot of stuff going on and it was sold out. When they throw each other against the mats, that’s loud. When they’re slapping each other, that’s loud. Everything was just loud.

I know some of the stuff is predetermined or practiced, but the allure for me was just the moves the wrestlers can execute. Those aren’t easy. Moves like the figure four and the pedigree and the choke slams that you play on video games when you’re younger, to see them come out of nowhere and do their signature moves was way cool and I can’t tell you how glad I am to have had the opportunity to watch it. I wasn’t going to go at first but I’m glad I did.

And no lie, I was thinking about going onstage if the Undertaker came out. He showed up on the big screen, and you know when the Undertaker comes out everything goes black for a while. I was right by the ring so I was going to jump over the rail and jump in the ring and by the time they put the lights on I was going to be up there right beside the Undertaker. I was just going to do it spur of the moment! I was going to have fun with it. But he didn’t come out, so it never happened.

So did you guys watch Monday Night Raw? Ever been to a WWE event? I just want to know if you all had a similar experience like mine. Let me know!

    Ye man i havent been to a WWE event for a while but the last time i went it was crazy. I went when the Rock n Stone Cold were still in it. like u said u know the stuff is premeditated but at the same time you can tell that they are into it just as much as the fans. I remember stone cold was the last match and after he won, he stayed out there for 20 more min smashing beer cans over his head and drinking them like he always did. It was crazy!

    Thats cool, Kevin! I saw your tweets, so I turned it on the tv. Saw you and all the other guys. You guys were on tv at the end, when that really white guy was tossing that other guy off the stage. Looked like you guys were having fun. I may have to go to one some day!

    Yeah that stuff is freakin hilarious. Man the Kings were tough. I hope it just sets you guys up for the Nuggies tonight. Good luck. I am not too much the WWE fan but in person it's got to be a riot. Ya can't take it to seriously when your caught up in legit Pro competition. Anyway your Longhorns looked good the other night against an up and coming Oklahoma team, they have work to do but the future is looking better. Catcha later. Z

    I've actually been to a couple, but couldn't go this time around. But you're right everything is loud, from the moment you enter and the pre-show entertainment begins it's a loud event. Heck! Just walking to the stadium and hearing all those diesel engines running gets you excited. That would have been awesome had they shown you guys on TV. Maybe they did when I wasn't looking though. I was kind of hoping you were going to be the guest host KD! But I guess we have to settle with Cheech and Chong

    Used to go to them. Even went to Westlemania in Houston. They are a lot more fun to watch in person. You should have got in the ring. You need a wrestling name. What would it be?

    KD. I'm a true long time Jazz Fan but you're one of my favorite players because you don't flaunt what you got. You seem really down to earth, not out livin the rock star life. It's players like you that I want my kids to be like. So where you had T-Mac, my kids will have KD. I read in ESPN mag that you like the small town feel of OKC. SLC ain't much different. what you think about coming to Utah and playing some ball with D-will? haha OK OK I'll keep dreamin.

    I used to go to them. Even went to Wrestlemania once. They are a lot more fun in person. You should have gotten in the ring. You need a wrestling name though. What would it be?

    WWE is sick, it's changed over the years though mainly due to the fact that the shows ratings went from 17+ to PG as it is now. Oh well, I guess that's the way their demographics have shifted. I've been following your facebook page and I'll be at the March 19 game in Toronto an hour early at the game. Look out for me KD! I'll be there w/ my KD jersey and my KD2s begging for an autograph!

    No WWE but I have been to ECW, which was a wrestling circuit in NY/NJ/Pa. Barbwire matches, steel cage matches, crazy stuff.

    Man, that's like jumping into the den of a pride of hungry lions. You would have had Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, and The Undertaker in close proximity to you. The Undertaker is all about respect backstage, and they all would have defended him as that would have been a major major disrespectful act. Good thing he didn't show up, man; that would have been a major disaster for you. But good luck on your future, homie.

    know i must have sent 50 message to cnn and oprah but cardinal gibbons help me though one of the hardest moments i met people that i could never forget i love this school it gave me home were i was happy please help us save this school it save me i owe it it brings me to tears to remember that night when i sat in this bed a ask god for a sign i was doing right and he sent me one cardinal gibbons i owe it to much please help me repay it means the same to all of us thank for your time. we are have rallies today at 2pm and another on monday at 7pm please help us save the school that we love.

    Dude I went to my 1st event back in '06 with one of my high school friends and it was awesome. I was close to Teddy Long (I met the dude @ Wal-Mart prior to that show so that was awesome) Seeing all my favorite wrestlers live was one of the best experiences I've ever had. Can't blame u for wanting 2 jump in the ring. 'Taker's my dude!
