My Coaching Debut
What’s good everyone? Man, I’ve been so busy down here in Dallas for All-Star Weekend, but I had to put up a blog to let you all know what’s going on with me being that I’m a first-time All-Star.
Well, I made my coaching debut tonight as an assistant for the Rookie team in the Rookie-Sophomore game, which the Rookies eventually won. I’ve got to give a shout out to my teammates James Harden and Russell Westbrook. They both played well.
Obviously, this coaching gig was something new for me and I was excited to do it. Once they asked me to do it, it was a no-brainer. I was very happy to be a part of it and glad to see the rookies get a win. I know that Russell and James did some friendly trash talking before the game, but they really didn’t matchup against each other and I didn’t call any plays.
But Russell, he played great, tremendous basketball. If they would have won, he would have gotten the MVP. But either way I’m happy.
And if you were watching the game on TV, you might have seen me all decked out in a black suit. It was a tailored suit that I got in L.A. It’s not often that I’m in a suit on the sideline, so it was nice to switch it up a bit.
Well, I’m gonna come back with another blog real soon about the media availability that the All-Stars had on Friday afternoon. I hadn’t faced this many reporters and cameras since I was drafted. It was crazy.
Hit y’all later.
