On Being Named Player of the Week

What’s good everyone? We just finished up a quick two game road trip in the midwest. We had a nice win against the Bulls last night. If you watched the game, I’m sure you saw Russ have another big game. I think he should be an All-Star this year. What do you all think?

Before the Bulls game I found out the NBA named me the Western Conference player of the week. Pretty neat, huh? It’s very humbling. I got Rookie of the Year, so it feels really good to get awards in this league. They’re not easy. It’s truly an honor.

I just want to thank my teammates. Like I’ve always been saying, they get me the ball and always trust me to make shots. Trust, confidence…that’s all helped me become the player I am today. I can’t emphasize how much I thank my teammates for this. They’re the best.

I also wanted to thank you guys for supporting me and the team this season. You’re the best fans out there. Talk to you soon!

    i dont think westbrook is ready for an all star appearance but i do think he should get a shot in the skill challenge and the dunk competition

    Congratulations on being named player of the week. Not only do u deserve to be named player of the week but also being an all-star. I can definitely see Russ being an all-star 2. He deserves it 2. Continue to keep doing what u do best. Holla at ya later

    Russ should definitely be an all star, but idk if he will bc of all the guards in the west. It should be interesting. Even if he's not one though, he'll be with yall in Dallas for the sophomore rookie game so he won't miss out on the festivities.

    Unfortunately y'all play in the West, where there's seasoned PG's such as Nash, CP3, and Deron. Westbrook is shooting 39%, and those three are all shooting near or above 50%. Westbrook is getting up there, but he still has some time till he's there. He'll get there eventually, but as of right now there's just more solid PG's in the West.

    KD, we really enjoy the way you and the rest of the Thunder are playing this year. Not only are you winning, you're playing hard and never giving up. I think it's great that you give credit to your team mates because you are right – you cannot do it without them. Basketball is not a one man game. Good luck against the Hornets tonight.
